Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Tolpa Peat Preparation (TPP) in the Treatment of aphthae chronice recidivae and lichen planus Wilsoni of the Oral Mucous Membrane
Abstract:
The purpose of the study was clinical evaluation of the effectiveness of Tolpa Peat Preparation, or TPP (5 mg tablets for oral administration and Chamosaldont Gel containing herbal extracts plus TPP for local administration), in the treatment of aphthae chronice recidivae and lichen planus Wilsoni of the oral mucous membrane. The investigation, a double-blind study, was carried out over 8 months in two groups of patients with the use of two forms of placebo. A significant clinical improvement in the condition of patients affected with both diseases who received TPP for 6 months was observed in contrast with the control group.
